Mowgli, directed by Andy Serkis is essentially based on the same 19th-century story of a human infant adopted by the wolves, but this time instead of his adventures.

It is the story of him being an outcast in the jungle as well as in the human world.

Unlike it’s Disney counterpart, Mowgli is dark, dangerous, more emotionally heavy and free of the patent care-free nature and comic element.

The Warner Bros studio appears to be making a significant effort to differentiate the movie from Disney’s 2016 hit The Jungle Book, which generated $966 million 97 crores approximately in the worldwide box office.

Rohan Chand will see portraying the confused but brave Mowgli with Matthew Rhys, and Freida Pinto.

The film features motion capture performances by Cate Blanchett, Naomie Harris in addition to Benedict Cumberbatch Shere Khan, Christian Bale Bagheera, and Serkis himself as Baloo.

The film is all set to release worldwide on the month of October 19.
