The Google Search Gets Movie Show Times Feature In India
In a move that is bound to making all the movie buffs happy, technology giant Google on Tuesday announced a new feature in the Search that will help to plan movie nights better in the movie Showtime.
The update is rolling out to the mobile Web interface and the Google Search app on the Android in the US and India in Hindi and English. It will also be available on the mobile search in the browser and soon on the Google Search app for the iOS.
“Going to the movies this weekend? We were now making it easier for you to making plans while you are on the go. When to deciding what video to watch, you usually considering the movie itself along with the show times and a theatre options.
With our latest update rolling out today, you can quickly compare movies through the factors you care most about-ratings, Showtime, theatre location and more all from the same view. And as before, you can easily buy your tickets in advance; just to click on show time to purchase a card,” Google says in a blog post.
The Google has supported to displaying movie Showtime within a Google Search result since it shut down its standalone movie site in the year 2016, this new update will help the one narrow down their options more efficiently, TechCrunch reports.
After one performs a search for the ‘movies’, ‘showtimes’, or movie times in your city, one is directing to Google’s movies showtimes screen as usual, where a new set of drop-down filters is also visible on the top. One can use them to filter the movies near them by a number of the factors, including screen type that is 3D or IMAX, the movie’s genre, ratings, the critic scores, language, and a preferred chain.
The card interface Google is using also shows reviews for the movie from sources such as IMDb, Metacritic, and also Rotten Tomatoes, apart from more information about the film that you select.
